Nomination Period: October 1, 2025 – October 29, 2025

1. The A Mina Welcome Promotion (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by Maple Leaf Foods Inc. (“MLF”) and administered by The T1 Agency Ltd. operating as T1 (the “Promotion Administrator”).

KEY DATES:

2. The nomination period commences on 12:00:00am Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 1, 2025 and closes on October 29, 2025 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Nomination Period”). The Promotion will commence on first day of the Nomination Period and end on November 19, 2025 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Promotion Period”). For the purposes of these Official Promotion Rules and Regulations, all times and dates refer to Eastern Time (“ET”). All times are determined by the Promotion computer. 

3. Participation in the Promotion as a Nominator or a Nominee (as such terms are defined in Section 6) constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Official Promotion Rules and Regulations (the “Promotion Rules”), which are final and binding (without right of appeal) on all matters relating to the Promotion. Message and data rates apply to use of mobile devices for participation in the Promotion. MLF and/or Promotion Administrator are not responsible for any such costs. Each Nominator and/or Nominee is responsible for confirming their wireless carrier’s pricing plan and availability of wireless Internet access and for obtaining Internet access to participate in the Promotion before entering via mobile device.

ELIGIBILITY:

4. To be eligible to participate as a Nominator, as of the start of the Nomination Period the Nominator must reside in Canada  other than in the Province of Quebec and have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. To be eligible to participate as a Nominee, the Nominee must: (i) as of the start of the Nomination Period, have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence; and (ii) as of the end of the Nomination Period: (a) with the exception of the Province of Quebec reside in Canada  and have been living in Canada for under 10 years; and (b) have reached the legal age of majority in their Canadian jurisdiction of residence. FOR GREATER SPECIFICITY, THIS PROMOTION IS NOT VALID IN THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC.

5. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Promotion Administrator, MLF, each of their respective employees, MLF's authorized supply chain distributors (including sole proprietorships and corporation partnerships), and each of the foregoing respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Promotion Parties”) are not eligible to participate in the Promotion as either a Nominator or a Nominee. Additionally, family members related to such employees are also not eligible to participate. Groups, clubs, organizations, businesses and commercial/non-commercial entities cannot participate. Determinations of eligibility shall be made in the sole discretion of the Promotion Administrator and MLF.

HOW TO ENTER - CONTEST PROMOTION:

6. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. No purchase necessary.  MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE OR OTHERWISE IMPACT YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING IN THIS PROMOTION.  During the Nomination Period, you can make a nomination (each, a “Nomination”) by going to [www.AMinaWelcome.com] (the “Website”) and following the on-screen prompts to obtain and fully complete the Official nominator (the “Form”) with all required information – including, but not limited to: (i) your full name and contact details (the “Nominator”); (ii) the full name and contact details of the eligible individual you are nominating (the “Nominee”); and (iii) a minimum fifty (50) words (note: Nominators may submit in any language in which they are comfortable) submission (a “Submission”) that describes why the Nominee is receiving a Nomination.  To be eligible, all content and materials associated with your Nomination (collectively, your “Nomination Materials”) must: (i) be submitted and received during the Nomination Period; (ii) include all required components and materials noted above; and (iii) be in accordance with these Promotion Rules, including, but not limited to, the Nomination rules listed below in this Section 6 and the specific submission requirements listed below in Sections 8 and 9 (all as determined by MLF in its sole and absolute discretion).

IMPORTANT NOMINATION RULES:

  • You may only provide information to MLF and/or Promotion Administrator in relation to a Nominee who is a friend or family member if you have received permission from that person to provide his/her information to MLF and/or Promotion Administrator.

  • You may only provide information in relation to a friend with whom you have had direct voluntary two-way communications, and with whom it is reasonable to conclude you have a personal relationship considering shared interests, experiences, opinions and other relevant factors.

  • You may only provide information in relation to a family member to whom you are related by marriage, a common-law partnership, or parent-child relationship, and with whom you have had direct voluntary two-way communications;

  • The information of your friend or family member will only be used by MLF and/or Promotion Administrator for the purpose of administering the Promotion and will not be added to any direct marketing list or used in any direct marketing programs without their consent.

  • You or your friend or family member may withdraw consent for MLF and/or Promotion Administrator to use your personal information at any time.

  • Both the Nominator and Nominee must meet the eligibility requirements set out in Sections 4 and 5 and this Section 6. For the avoidance of any doubt, an individual may complete a Nomination for themselves, however, such Nominator must also meet the Nominee eligibility requirements set out in Sections 4 and 5.

  • Nominators may submit a Nomination with a specific family in mind; however, the Nomination must be focused on one (1) eligible Nominee.  

NOMINATION LIMIT, SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND LICENSE:

7. There is a limit of one (1) Nomination per Nominee. In the event that more than one (1) Nomination is submitted in relation to the same Nominee, only the first Nomination received will be eligible and all other Nominations received in relation to such Nominee will be deemed ineligible. If it is discovered by MLF and/or Promotion Administrator using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by MLF and/or Promotion Administrator that any person has attempted to use multiple names, multiple identities, multiple email addresses, any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s), and/or any other means not in keeping with MLF’s interpretation of the letter and/or spirit of these Promotion Rules to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Promotion; then he/she may be disqualified from the Promotion in the sole and absolute discretion of MLF. The Promotion Parties and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Nominations and/or Nomination Materials (all of which are void).”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Nominations and/or Nomination Materials (all of which are void)

8. BY SUBMITTING A NOMINATION, YOU AGREE THAT THE NOMINATION (AND EACH INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT THEREOF – INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE NOMINATION MATERIALS) COMPLIES WITH ALL CONDITIONS STATED IN THESE PROMOTION RULES. THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL BEAR NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER REGARDING: (I) THE USE OF YOUR NOMINATION (OR ANY COMPONENT THEREOF – INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE NOMINATION MATERIALS) OR ANY OTHER ASPECT WHATSOEVER PERTAINING TO A NOMINATOR’S OR NOMINEE’S INVOLVEMENT  IN THIS PROMOTION; (II) NOMINATOR’S OR NOMINEE’S PARTICIPATION IN ANY PROMOTION-RELATED ACTIVITIES; AND/OR (III) ANY USE, COLLECTION, STORAGE AND DISCLOSURE OF ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION WHETHER OF NOMINATOR OR NOMINEE. THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY YOU IN THE EVENT IT IS DISCOVERED THAT YOU HAVE DEPARTED FROM OR NOT OTHERWISE FULLY COMPLIED WITH ANY OF THESE RULES.

9. By participating in the Promotion, each participant hereby warrants and represents that any Nomination Materials he/she submits:

  • i. are original to him/her and that the participant has obtained all necessary permission, consent and rights in and to the Nomination Materials for the purposes of entering such Nomination Materials in the Promotion;

  • ii. do not violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation;

  • iii. do not contain any reference to or likeness of any identifiable third parties, unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals and their parent/legal guardian if they are under the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence;

  • iv. will not give rise to any claims whatsoever, including, without limitation, claims of infringement, invasion of privacy or publicity, or infringe on any rights and/or interests of any third party;

10. and are not defamatory, trade libelous or obscene, and further that they will not contain, depict, include, any of the following: nudity (partial or otherwise); alcohol/drug consumption or smoking; explicit or graphic sexual activity, or sexual innuendo; crude, vulgar or offensive language and/or symbols; derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual, religious or other groups (including, without limitation, any competitors of MLF); content that endorses, condones and/or discusses any illegal, inappropriate or risky behaviour or conduct; personal information of individuals, including, without limitation, names, telephone numbers and addresses (physical or electronic); commercial messages, comparisons or solicitations for products or services other than products of MLF; any identifiable third party products, trade-marks, brands and/or logos, other than those of MLF; conduct or other activities in violation of these Rules; and/or any other content that is or could be considered inappropriate, disparaging, unsuitable or offensive, all as determined by MLF in its sole and absolute discretion.MLF, Promotion Administrator and/or their promotional agencies or designated content moderators (the “Reviewer”) reserves the right to screen all Nomination Materials. Any Nomination Materials that the Reviewer deems, in its sole and absolute discretion, to violate the terms and conditions set forth in these Promotion Rules are subject to disqualification – in which case MLF and/or Promotion Administrator reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to take whatever action deemed necessary based on the circumstances – including, without limitation, disqualifying the Nomination Materials (and therefore the corresponding Nomination and/or the associated Nominee) – to help ensure that the Promotion is being conducted in accordance with MLF’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Promotion Rules.

11. By entering the Promotion and submitting a Nomination, each participant: (i) grants to MLF, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use his/her Nomination Materials (and each component thereof), in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Promotion MLF and  its products or for any other reason; (ii) waives all moral rights in and to his/her Nomination Materials (and each component thereof) in favour of MLF (and anyone authorized by MLF to use such Nomination Materials); and (iii) agrees to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from use of his/her Nomination Materials (or any component thereof), including, without limitation, any claim based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property related or other cause of action whatsoever.  

VERIFICATION:

12. The Promotion Administrator and/or MLF reserve the right to request proof of identity (in a form acceptable to MLF and the Promotion Administrator – including, without limitation, government-issued photo identification) from any Entrant for: (i) the purposes of verifying eligibility to participate in this Promotion; (ii) the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Nomination and/or other information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Promotion; (iii) the purpose of verifying the age of majority for their residing province or territory  of entrant during the Nomination Period and/or (iv) any other reason the Promotion Administrator and/or MLF deem necessary, acting in their sole discretion, for the purposes of administering this Promotion in accordance with these Promotion Rules. Nominators and Nominees shall cooperate fully in such investigations. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Promotion Administrator in a timely manner may result in disqualification of the Entrant, in the sole discretion of the Promotion Administrator or MLF. Entrants agree to cooperate with the Promotion Administrator or MLF in any such investigations.

13. Nominations generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified.

PRIZES:

14. There are two (2) Mina Family Favourites prizes (each, a “Mina Family Favourites”) available to be won. Each Mina Family Favourites Prize consists of: (i) one (1) filled sixteen (16) jar revolving wood spice rack; (ii) one (1) tote bag, and (iii) the confirmed Mina Family Favourites Prize winner’s choice of up to $400 CAD (excluding tax) worth of Mina Hala products. Subject to availability each confirmed Mina Family Favourites Prize winner will have the option to choose from among the following Mina Halal products. While MLF will endeavor to supply product based on such choice, it reserves the right to supply products as determined by it in its sole determination. Sponsor may determine products if Mina Family Favourites Prize winner does not make choices. Products chosen cannot exceed the approximate retail value (“ARV”) amount of the Prize. Mina Family Favourites Prize winner shall not receive cash for any shortfall between ARV of $400 and selected Mina Products:

If either of the confirmed Mina Family Favourites Prize winners are unable to, due to space limitations, take possession of $400 CAD (excluding tax) worth of Mina Hala products, MLF may, in its sole discretion, award the Mina Family Favourites Prize in part, as free Mina Halal coupons (retail value of up to $20 each).

The total approximate retail value of each Mina Family Favourites Prize is $500.00 CAD.

15. There are forty-five (45) Mina starter pack prizes (each, a “Your Mina Starter Pack Prize”) available to be won. Each Your Mina Starter Pack Prize consists of two (2) free Mina Halal coupons (retail value of up to $20 each), one (1) Mina branded tote bag, and one (1) pair of Mina branded touchscreen gloves. The total approximate retail value of each Your Mina Starter Pack Prize is $65.00 CAD.

16. There is one (1) nominator prize (the “Nominator Prize”) available to won. The Nominator Prize consists of the following Mina Halal products:

  • Whole Chicken

  • Jalapeño Beef Burgers

  • Chicken Breakfast Strips

  • two (2) free Mina Halal coupons (retail value of up to $20 each)

The total approximate retail value of the Nominator Prize is $84 CAD each.

17. Eligible participants are eligible to win a maximum of one (1) Mina Family Favourites, or one (1) Nominator Prize for the nominators or one (1) Your Mina Starter Pack Prize (each, a “Prize”). Only one (1)  prize per winner.

18. The following general conditions apply to each Prize:

  • a. Prizes are subject to availability and must be accepted as awarded.

  • b. Prizes are not transferable, assignable, or convertible to cash.

  • c. MLF may, in its sole discretion, substitute another prize of equal or greater value;

  • d. all characteristics and features of the Prize, are at MLF’s sole and absolute discretion;

  • e. FREE Mina Halal coupons are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer; and

  • f. No substitutions are permitted, except at MLF’s option.

19. MLF will appoint one (1) or individuals as judges (the “Judges”) to judge each eligible Nomination on the basis of the following weighted criteria set out above.

For greater certainty, the Judge(s) will comprise of one (1) or more representatives of MLF and/or the Promotion Administrator and will be selected in MLF’s sole discretion. MLF and/or the Promotion Administrator are not obligated to disclose Judge(s) scoring

Each Nomination will be given a score (the “Score”) by the Judge(s). Odds of being selected as an eligible winning Nominee or Nominator depend on the number and calibre of eligible Nominations submitted and received in accordance with these Promotion Rules.

The two (2) eligible Nominees associated with the top two (2) Scores (as determined by the Judge(s), in their sole and absolute discretion) will each be selected as eligible winners of the Mina Family Favourites Prize. The eligible Nominees associated with the third (3rd) highest to forty-eight (48th) highest Scores (as determined by the Judge(s), in their sole and absolute discretion) will each be selected as eligible winners of the Your Mina Starter Pack Prize.

The Nominator associated with the highest scoring Nomination will be eligible to receive the Nominator Prize.

In the event of a tie between two or more eligible Nominations based on Score, the eligible Nominee – from amongst all such eligible Nominations that are tied – with the highest score on Criteria 1 (followed in the event of a further tie by Criteria 2) will be selected as the eligible winner of the Prize.  Judging is scheduled to be completed on or about November 20, 2025 (the “Selection Date”). 

IMPORTANT NOTE RE: HIGHEST SCORING NOMINATION: The eligible Nominator and Nominee  associated with the highest scoring Nomination (the “Eligible Winning Pair”) must both agree to participate in MLF’s short promotional videos (the “Videos”) and to be filmed, interviewed, photographed and otherwise recorded by MLF and/or Promotion Administrator at the location, date and time as determined by MLF and/or Promotion Administrator, in their sole discretion. Such Videos will be reproduced, published and communicated to the public by telecommunication, made available and otherwise exploited by MLF worldwide in any type of media in order to advertise and promote MLF and for other purposes (as determined by MLF and/or Promotion Administrator, in their sole discretion). MLF and Promotion Administrator reserve the right to edit any such content and not to use any such content in their sole discretion. If an Eligible Winning Pair does not agree to participate in the Videos, MLF and/or Promotion Administrator may, in their sole discretion, select the Nominator and Nominee associated with the next highest scoring Nomination as the Eligible Winning Pair (in which case the originally selected Nominator and Nominee will forfeit all rights to the Mina Family Favourites Prize and the Nominator Prize). 

 

ELIGIBLE WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS:

20. MLF and/or Promotion Administrator will make a minimum of five (5) attempts to contact the eligible winning Nominee (using the information provided on the Form) within three (3) business days of the Selection Date. If the eligible winning Nominee cannot be contacted as outlined above, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of MLF, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and MLF reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Nominations in accordance with Section 19 (in which case the foregoing provisions shall apply to such newly selected eligible winning Nominee). 

ELIGIBLE WINNER CONFIRMATION PROCESS:

21. NO NOMINATOR OR NOMINEE IS A WINNER UNLESS AND UNTIL MLF OFFICIALLY CONFIRMS HIM/HER AS THE WINNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE RULES. BEFORE BEING DECLARED A CONFIRMED PRIZE WINNER.

22. Each eligible winning Nominee and, if applicable, eligible winning Nominator, will be notified by the Promotion Administrator that they are eligible to win via the email address as provided on the registration form (the “Eligible Winner Communication”). Each Eligible Winner Communication will include instructions to respond to the Promotion Administrator by a specific date and time to remain eligible to win the applicable Prize.

23. If an eligible winning Nominee and, if applicable, eligible winning Nominator does not contact the Promotion Administrator in accordance with the instructions and time limit specified in the applicable Eligible Winner Communication, then they will no longer be eligible to receive the applicable Prize.

24. The eligible winning Nominee and, if applicable, Nominator will be required to: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid (which may, in the sole and absolute discretion of MLF, be administered online, by email or other electronic means, by telephone, or in MLF’s form of declaration and release); and (b) sign and return within three (3) business days of notification, all Promotion or Video related documents provided by MLF, including, without limitation, the MLF declaration and release form (the “Release Form”), which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Promotion Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize (as awarded); (iii) releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Promotion, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof (including, but not limited to, any travel related thereto); (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, city and province/territory of residence, voice, statements about the Promotion and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of MLF in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet; and (v) if selected as the Eligible Winning Pair, agrees to participate in the Videos by MLF in its sole and absolute discretion.

25. In order to be confirmed as a winner of the Prize (a “Prize Winner”), after responding to the Promotion Administrator, the eligible winning Nominee and, if applicable, Nominator, must, within three (3) business days: (i) correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, without mechanical or other aid, provided by the Promotion Administrator; (ii) present valid government-issued photo identification; (iii) sign and return the Release Form, and all other Promotion or Video related documents (as applicable) that may be provided by MLF; and (iii) if selected as an eligible winner of the Mina Family Favourites, specify its choice of Mina Products (up to an ARV of $400.00 CAD).

26. If an eligible winning Nominee or Nominator: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to prove eligibility with government-issued photo identification; (c) cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the applicable Prize (as awarded) for any reason; (d) fails to  provide the required Release within the specified time period; (e) refuses to participate in the Videos, if selected as the Eligible Winning Pair (f) fails to specify its choice of Mina Products, if selected as the eligible winner of the Mina Family Favourites; and/or (g) is determined to be in violation of these Promotion Rules (all as determined by MLF in its sole discretion); then they will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) without any liability whatsoever to MLF  or  the Promotion Administrator.

DELIVERY OF PRIZES:

27. The Prizes will be delivered to the Winning Nominee’s, and if applicable, winning Nominator’s, address of residence as provided to the Promotion Administrator during the Eligible Winner Communication following confirmation of age of majority for their residing province or territory during the Promotion Period.  Allow 2 weeks for delivery. MLF shall have no responsibility for Prizes awarded where Prize Winner is not available to accept delivery. 

28. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL NOMINATORS AND NOMINEES TO ENSURE THAT CONTACT INFORMATION, INCLUDING FULL NAME, PHONE NUMBER, AND EMAIL ADDRESS, IS ACCURATE AND UP TO DATE. NEITHER MLF NOR PROMOTION ADMINISTRATOR SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES RESULTING FROM ENTRANTS PROVIDING OUT-OF-DATE OR INCORRECT INFORMATION, including disqualification from the Promotion and forfeiture of all rights to the Prize.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR THE PROMOTION:

29. By accepting delivery of the Prize, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the winning Nominee and, if applicable, winning Nominator, confirms compliance with these Promotion Rules, acknowledges that the respective Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted or transferred and has no cash surrender value and releases the Released Parties from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the awarding and use of such specified prize or the Promotion. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all Prizes are awarded “as is”, without any warranties whatsoever. If any Prize is returned as undeliverable, the winner will forfeit their prize and the prize will not be awarded. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the winning Nominee and, if applicable, winning Nominator, agrees to accept the Prize as awarded and confirm that the Prize is not transferable. MLF retains the right, in their absolute discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or value in the event of the unavailability of any component of the prize for any reason. The decision of MLF on all issues relating to the Promotion will be final and binding on all participants.


30. By participating in this Promotion, you are agreeing to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Promotion Rules. ANYONE DETERMINED TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THESE PROMOTION RULES FOR ANY REASON, OR THE SPIRIT OF FAIR PLAY IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF MLF AT ANY TIME, WITHOUT ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER TO MLF IN SUCH RESPECT.

31. The Released Parties will not be liable for: (i) any failure of the website during the Promotion; (ii) any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (iii) the loss, delay, or failure of any communication, entry and/or other information to be received, provided, captured or recorded for any reason, including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; (iv) any injury or damage to a participant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in the Promotion; (v) any combination of the above, or (vi) any other matter whatsoever.

32. By entering the Promotion, each participant agrees to be bound by these Promotion Rules and all decisions of the Promotion Administrator and MLF, whose decisions are final with respect to all matters relating to the Promotion, including (without limitation) the selection of prize winners. All decisions made by the Promotion Administrator and MLF with respect to any aspect of this Promotion are final and binding.

33. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted a Nomination, Nominations will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of Nomination. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A participant may be required to provide proof (in a form acceptable to MLF – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Nomination in question and is the age of majority for their residing province or territory during the Nomination Period.

34. Subject to any applicable laws, MLF reserves the right, to withdraw, amend or suspend this Promotion (or to amend these Promotion Rules) in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of MLF that interferes with the proper conduct of this Promotion as contemplated by these Promotion Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Promotion in any way, or act in an unsportsmanlike manner, (as determined by MLF in its sole and absolute discretion) is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, MLF reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. Subject to applicable laws, MLF reserves the right to cancel, amend or suspend this Promotion, or to amend these Promotion Rules, in any way without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, messaging, programming, distribution, production,  prizing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason whatsoever. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing,  if, due to printing, prizing, messaging, programming, distribution, production or other errors or for any other reason whatsoever, the number of individuals claiming the right to receive a prize exceeds the number of prizes available to be won as set out in these Promotion Rules , MLF may, at is sole discretion, elect to offer only the correct number of offered items by means of a random drawing from among all persons making purportedly valid claims for such prize(s). Inclusion in such drawing shall be the only remedy available in such circumstances for any eligible person who has participated in the Promotion. Under no circumstances shall MLF be required to make available for winning more than the correct number of prizes, as set out in these Promotion Rules.

35. By entering this Promotion, each participant expressly consents to MLF, their agents and/or representatives, collecting, storing, sharing, and using, in Canada, the personal information submitted with his/her Entry only for the purpose of administering the Promotion, unless the Entrant otherwise consents. Such use of personal information shall be consistent with MLF’s privacy policy, found at: https://www.mapleleaffoods.com/privacy-policy/.

36. Subject to applicable laws, MLF reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in these Promotion Rules, to the extent deemed necessary by MLF, for purposes of verifying compliance by any participant or entry with these Promotion Rules, or as a result of any technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of MLF, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Promotion as contemplated in these Promotion Rules, or for any other reason.

37. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these English Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Promotion-related materials, MLF’s Page, website, point of sale, television, print or online advertising and/or any instructions or interpretations of these Rules given by any representative of MLF, the terms and conditions of these English Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law. FOR GREATER CERTAINTY, NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY WHATSOEVER, IN THE EVENT OF ANY DISCREPANCY OR INCONSISTENCY BETWEEN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE ENGLISH RULES AND DISCLOSURES, AND  DISCLOSURES OR OTHER STATEMENTS CONTAINED IN ANY TRANSLATED PROMOTION- RELATED MATERIALS, THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ENGLISH RULES AND DISCLOSURES, SHALL PREVAIL, GOVERN AND CONTROL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  

38. The Promotion is governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. Participation constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to these Promotion Rules and the decisions of MLF and Promotion Administrator , which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. By entering the Promotion, you agree that the courts of Ontario, Canada shall have jurisdiction to entertain any action or other legal proceedings based on any provision of these Promotion Rules or the running of this Promotion.

39.  ALL PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS BY PARTICIPANTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROMOTION, SHALL BE ADJUDICATED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY AND SHALL NOT BE CONSOLIDATED OR JOINED WITH, OR IN ANY OTHER PROCEEDING INVOLVING A CLAIM OF ANY OTHER PARTY.
